She started her business in 2000 which provides bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses in The Dallas/Fort Worth area and the North Carolina area and throughout the U.S. Her goal is to be able to provide financial reports that are useful for her clients in the daily operations of their business. She enjoys helping guide small businesses on their path to success.
Cheryl provides bookkeeping, accounting, consulting for QuickBooks®, training for QuickBooks®, business advisory services, and more. We specialize working with legal and medical services. We also serve a wide range of business industries, including real estate, dermatologists, interior designers, political consultant, consulting firm, home healthcare, hair salons, architecture, court reporter, jewelry designer, wealth management firms, audiologists, HVAC, and more.
As a detail-oriented individual who loves working with numbers, Cheryl enjoys reviewing the general ledger and making sure everything is in the proper category so that the financial statements can reflect what happened over a period of time. In her words, she’s performing “detective work” for small businesses and especially loves being able to provide the support needed to prove the numbers are correct. Some of Cheryl’s recently completed projects include:
- Catching up books that were a year behind, allowing the client to see what’s going on with her business on a monthly basis
- Performing bookkeeping work that allows clients to run actual budget reports
- Setting up QuickBooks Online for multiple businesses (and helping maintain these businesses using QBO)
Prior to starting her own business in 2000, Cheryl spent twenty years working for several CPA firms, where she handled various bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities, including payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and more. She was blessed to be mentored by her fellow CPA coworkers early in her career, and it was then that she discovered she had a talent for bookkeeping. It is a career that she truly enjoys.
Outside of work, Cheryl is very family-oriented; she spends most of her free time with her family doing various activities. She loves to spend time curling up with a good book and travelling to new places.
